Award winning Oreo dessert

Sure it was only against one other dessert and the prize was a $15 gift card to the Olive Garden. But never the less an award is an award ;p

This is one of the simplest desserts I know to make, there is no baking necessary and only mixing stuff up!

Meatballs: take 2, 3 and 4

The second time I wanted to try a new type of bread, and the third time is just more bread. I did that to see how it would affect the meatballs. More bread made it taste better, and I didn't notice much difference when I changed the bread type. And finally the third time is cooking the meatballs in  tomato sauce (red sauce).
Take 2: new type of bread (larger white spots in the meatballs because I didn't mix them that well).
Take 3: more bread :) You can tell by a slight change in the color of the meatballs.
Take 4: cooked in red sauce! I added some cheese to add some flavor and because I like cheese :)

Experiment: Meatballs :)

I have always thought that meatballs were a lot of work to do and the fact that there are many ways of doing them. It was not until a certain Italian postdoc brought some homemade meatballs and told me that it is simple to make. One thing that I did not know (because my only source of knowledge at the time is from reading restaurant menus) is that the only meat that is supposed to go in the meatballs is ground beef only. Apparently restaurants mix meats to increase their profit.

Creme caramel

We call it at home creme caramel, and the closest thing to it in the United States is a flan. It's one of my favorite desserts. I forgot to take a final picture after I flipped it, so all I have for now is the non flipped version after I took it out of the oven.

Location of ribs, rib roast, and rib eye

Informative youtube video that shows what the different cuts look like before we get them from the store.

Beef Ribs

They may be called different names (such as spare ribs, beef back ribs, bone in beef ribs) all I know is that they always taste amazing!!
I am making them for tomorrow, so I thought it is about time to finally add a recipe here. It's my favorite, I hope you enjoy!!!

Reason

My favorite chef is obviously my mom, mainly because her recipes are simple yet delicious. Later in life after trying out one of Alton Brown's recipes, I realized that it's possible to make very delicious food with simple ingredients. All, other additional ingredients and herbs is where people differ in taste, which makes things way too complicated for food.

I will try my best to keep things simple here, and then point out where I (or whoever is reading this) can add extra ingredients.

Good food!

I'm sure that just like everyone I love to eat, and I also love to cook. What I love even more is spending the least amount of time and energy before I get to enjoy my creation. Unfortunately most cook books and even cooking shows have very few dishes that are simple to make (all that matters is that the food looks presentable). I have found that most often than not food that looks good on a plate does not mean it tastes good!
